CHICAGO 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT

  • Filmmaking Competition

  • 2019 -2015 / Film Festival Competition & Event Production

  • The 48 Hour Film Project is a wild and sleepless weekend in which filmmakers and a team write, shoot and edit a short movie in just 48 hours. This national competition has been around  since 2001, with filmmakers across the globe competing to win regionally and then go on to have their films premiere at the Cannes Short Film Corner. Each team draws a genre and is then given a character, prop and line dialogue to include in their films. Under Nitestar Productions stewardship, the best films from 2016 through 2019 were each awarded $1,000, and 2 went on to screen at the Cannes Short Film Corner, for the first time in the Chicago regions 15 year competition history!
